Thanks to everyone who turned out for the Buy-A-Brick Launch and Ceilidh At Tracadie Community Centre last Saturday night! We had a full house and a great start to our fundraising campaign for Glenaladale Estate!
Shane Pendergast’s video on the Buy-A-Brick campaign started off the evening, followed by a well-received short presentation on the history of the Glenaladale property and the people attached to it. A story more people will soon come to know!
MC for the evening – and a great entertainer – Mike Pendergast kept things moving with original tunes and anecdotes. He was joined onstage by Eddy Quinn and John Webster who both delivered on what people have come to expect from this talented duo: lively tunes and chuckle-worthy back stories.
PEI’s Holland College is onboard with the plans of Glenaladale Heritage Trust and used the occasion to show their video highlighting the important learning asset Glenaladale House will be for the students of its Heritage Retrofit Carpentry program.
The programme for the evening was completed with the beautiful voice of Jocelyne Ludgate, a voice we hope to hear more in the future.
Glenaladale Heritage Trust is very pleased with the response from everyone who has learned about the efforts to purchase, preserve and sustainably development this one-of-a-kind 529 acre property on the shores of Tracadie Bay.
Let’s keeping this going – TOGETHER WE WILL DO IT, BRICK-BY-BRICK!!
