Glenaladale Heritage Trust to launch its Buy-A-Brick campaign at upcoming ceilidh
Glenaladale Heritage Trust is presenting a fundraising Ceilidh on January 21 at the Tracadie Cross Rec Centre, 148 Station Rd, Tracadie Cross.
Entertainment will feature one of the Island’s favourite musical sons Eddy Quinn with longtime accompanist and songwriter John Webster and Mike Pendergast on accordion. Rounding out the evening’s entertainment will be some local singers and fiddlers to keep all toes tapping.
The Glenaladale Heritage Trust will use the occasion to launch the “Buy a Brick” campaign, a new effort in the continuing push to purchase and preserve the last great estate mansion on PEI, the Glenaladale Estate on Tracadie Bay.
The house has been home to some of the most colourful stories of Island history! The ceilidh will honour that tradition with a presentation of local songs, stories, and tunes. Bar service will be available.
Showtime is 7:30 pm. A 50/50 draw will be held. Tickets are $10/person. Call 676-2123 for information or to book seats.
